We help people who are highly motivated and hard working understand how their stress and emotions are showing up in their body and learn how to live in a way that supports their health instead of working against it.
When you get that wake-up call about your health- a diagnosis, concerning test results, or the moment you realize things need to change- you need real support, not more generic advice.
You're already trying. You know you should eat better, exercise more, manage stress. But something keeps getting in the way.
You need someone who can help you understand:
What's actually happening in your body (the medical piece)
Why the emotional and stress patterns keep sabotaging you (the mind-body piece)
How to create a sustainable path forward (the coaching piece).
That's exactly what we do.

Here's what makes our approach unique:
We address the real barriers. This isn't just about meal plans and exercise. We explore the stress patterns, emotional triggers, perfectionism, and self-sabotage that have kept you stuck- because sustainable change requires addressing what's actually in the way.
We bring medical expertise to a coaching model. We're board-certified in lifestyle medicine with years of clinical experience- we understand chronic disease deeply. But we work with you through extended coaching sessions, personalized plans, and ongoing support.
It's personal and intensive. This will be unlike any traditional medical appointment youve had. We get to know you and go deep. We have few clients at a time so we can really focus on you.
It's consistent. One-hour sessions weekly. Real change takes time, practice, and consistency.
We are available. Not only do we see you regularly, but you can text or email us between sessions.
We focus on root causes, not medications. We help you address what's driving your condition so you can reduce medications over time (managed by your PCP) and spend less on healthcare in the long run.
You keep your primary care provider. They manage your medications, provide acute care, and handle preventive screening. We may recommend helpful bloodwork, which you can get through your PCP or direct labs- we'll help you interpret results and adjust your lifestyle plan.
(Note: Because we provide personalized health recommendations, this is technically considered a medical practice, but we don't function as your primary doctor. Think of us as expert coaches who utilize our medical training in making lifestyle recommendations.)
Traditional medical appointments aren't designed for lifestyle transformation. There's simply no time in 15-minute visits for the kind of deep, sustained support that creates lasting change.
Our coaching model allows us to:
Spend real time understanding your barriers and goals
Provide disease-specific lifestyle guidance grounded in medical expertise
Offer ongoing support between appointments
Address the emotional and mental patterns that impact health
Focus purely on empowering sustainable change
We work alongside your healthcare team, not as a replacement. Think of us as the missing piece- the medical expertise and dedicated time needed to make lifestyle changes that are effective and actually stick.
Are successful in other areas of life but your health feels out of control
Know WHAT to do but can't seem to make it stick
Suspect stress, emotions, or self-sabotage are playing a role
Have been told your symptoms are "just stress" but don't know what to do about it
Are dealing with conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, digestive issues, fatigue, brain fog or symptoms that remain unexplained despite full medical workups
And you're ready to:
Understand what's happening in your body and why
Get clear guidance on what changes will actually make a difference
Explore not just WHAT to change, but WHY change has been hard
Address the emotional patterns that affect your health (stress eating, chronic pain, sleep issues)
Make real, lasting changes - not look for quick fixes
Invest in yourself (we don't accept insurance, but you may save money by reducing medications and healthcare costs long-term)
You also:
Have (or are willing to establish care with) a primary care physician for medication management and routine medical care
Want to approach your health as self-care, not punishment
Not sure if we can help your specific situation? Let's talk. Many chronic conditions have lifestyle components that can be dramatically improved.
Research shows that lifestyle interventions can be as effective as medications for many chronic conditions- and in some cases, even more effective.
Studies have shown that lifestyle medicine can help you:
Reverse type 2 diabetes and reduce or eliminate insulin
Normalize blood pressure and reduce or discontinue antihypertensives
Lower cholesterol naturally, often avoiding or reducing the need for statins
Achieve sustainable weight loss (not through restrictive dieting)
Eliminate chronic pain and improve energy
Reduce anxiety and achieve restorative sleep
Beyond the lab values, lifestyle medicine offers something more profound: feeling more at peace in your body, more confident in yourself, and more empowered to face life's challenges.
We believe in the power of living well to optimize health and enjoyment of life. We've seen lifestyle changes reverse conditions conventionally thought to be irreversible such as diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
We believe that every person has the capacity to heal holistically through intentional choices- in how we think and speak to ourselves, how we move and rest our bodies and minds, how we nourish ourselves, and in the relationships we cultivate.
Guidance on whole food, plant-predominant nutrition tailored to your preferences and lifestyle
Movement recommendations based on evidence-based guidelines
Sleep optimization strategies
Stress management techniques grounded in neuroscience
Guided meditaitons and visualizations
Nervous system regulation tools
Exploration of emotional patterns that impact health
Journal prompts and reflective exercises
Extended one-on-one coaching sessions (not rushed 15-minute appointments)
Regular accountability and progress tracking
Compassionate, individualized guidance
We address not just what you eat or how you move, but how you think about yourself, manage stress, and relate to your body. Because sustainable change requires healing on multiple levels- physical, mental, and emotional.
Our ultimate goal? To empower you so thoroughly that eventually you don't need us anymore. We want you to have the knoledge, skills, and confidence to maintain your health independently.
Lifestyle medicine isn't just about what you eat and how you move- it's about your relationship with yourself.
We've seen how:
Chronic pain often has roots in stress, trauma, and nervous system dysregulation
Emotional eating patterns reflect deeper needs that food can't actually meet
Negative self-talk sabotages even the best-intentioned health plans
Sleep issues often stem from an inability to feel safe and at rest
That's why our programs include exploration of the thoughts, beliefs, and emotional patterns that shape your health choices. We provide tools for nervous system reglation and creat space for you to approach health canges as self-compassion, not self-punishment.
This isn't "woo-woo"- it's neuroscience. Your brain and body are intimately connected, and healing requires addressing both.
You don't have to fully believe in the mind-body connection to work with us. But we've found that clients who are open to exploring this dimension often experience the most profound transformations- not just in their lab values, but in how they feel in their bodies and their lives.
You'll still need a primary care physician- they're essential for medication management, acute care, and medical monitoring.
We fill a different role: the intensive coaching and lifestyle guidance that 15-minute appointments can't provide. Together with your PCP, this becomes powerful medicine.
Our goal is to address underlying causes so you need less medical intervention overall. Many clients reduce or eliminate medications over time under their PCP's supervision. Some still need mediations but at lower doses. Some achieve complete disease reversal.
Research shows lifestyle interventions can be as effective as medications for many chronic conditions- sometimes more so. But you need time, personalized plans, ongoing support, and someone to troubleshoot when things get hard.
That's what we do.
Why smart, Capable People Struggle with Their Health
You're successful in other areas of your life. You're competent, accomplished, used to figuring things out.
So why does your health feel so out of control?
It's not because you don't know what to do. You know you should eat better, exercise more, manage stress. The information is everywhere.
The problem is what's happening beneath the surface:
Stress you've normalized: You're so used to operating in overdrive that you don't even notice how dysregulated your nervous system has become
Emotional patterns: Using food to cope with overwhelm, loneliness, or the pressure you put on yourself
Perfectionism: If you can't do it perfectly, you don't do it at all- or you punish yourself when you "fail"
Self-criticism: The harsh voice in your head that undermines every attempt at change
Burnout disguised as discipline: Pushing through exhaustion because rest feels like weakness
These aren't character flaws. They're patterns- and patterns can be change.
That's why we don't just give you a meal plan and send you on your way. We help you understand:
How stress and emotions are showing up in your body (inflammation, blood sugar dysregulation, chronic pain, weight gain)
What these patterns are protecting or serving (because they always serve a purpose)
How to create change from a place of self-compassion, not self-punishment
This is where medical expertise meets mind-body work meets coaching. And it's why our clients don't just see better lab values- they report feeling more at peace in their bodies, more confident, and more empowered.
We hear this question often, and we understand why- both look beyond symptom management to address root causes.
The key differentiation is our focus:
Lifestyle medicine centers on the six evidence-based pillars proven to prevent and reverse chronic disease: whole food nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, social connection and avoiding risky substances.
We may recommend labs to track your progress, but these are typically standard tests your doctor would order anyway - things like A1C or lipid panels. You can get them through your PCP or a direct-to-consumer lab service. We'll help you interpret the results and adjust your plan accordingly. Our recommendations focus on lifestyle changes - not extensive lab panels, specialized testing, or complex supplement protocols.
If you're looking for:
Guidance on nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management
Evidence-based interventions to reverse chronic disease
Physician expertise without extensive lab panels or supplement protocols
Sustainable changes that don't require ongoing product purchases
Then lifestyle medicine is likely the right fit.
We respect that different approaches work for different people. Our strength is in providing intensive coaching around proven lifestyle interventions- the changes that research shows have the most powerful impact on chronic disease.
